Hall of Fame is an awesome week-long event that Full Sail University hosts for both students and alumni. It’s a week full of excitement, sleep deprivation, and unique experiences. But for students who have never attended one before, it can be really overwhelming. There are so many things to do and events might be happening at the same time on different sides of the campus; and if you’re put in charge of covering Hall of Fame, it can even be stressful. So, here are the top three tips that I wish I’d known before going into Hall of Fame my first time.
"There are so many things to do"
1. Planning is everything!

The Full Sail Events app was created for a reason, utilize it! The entire schedule for the Hall of Fame week is in your hands every single moment of it so plan your days around what you want to do. There’s even a handy schedule right inside of the app so that you can manage what events or panels you want to go to- including the time and place!
The app even has the survival guide in it so that you don’t need to worry about carrying it around and losing it! So, set some time out before the week starts and narrow down what you want to do so that you know ahead of time and aren’t missing out.
2. Be early- not on time!

You may hear students and staff suggest that you arrive about an hour early to any panel you want to go to, and you may think, “I’m sure I don’t need to be that early.” The reality is that you really do need to be in line that early, with a wristband, to ensure that you get in!
Popular panels may even be filled up an hour before they’re meant to start. Do not arrive outside of a panel five minutes before it’s supposed to start and expect to get in. It’s probably not happening!
3. Don’t stress about responsibilities!

If you’re in a group that is covering Hall of Fame and have a lot of responsibilities and rapidly approaching deadlines- don’t stress! Hall of Fame is meant to be fun for everyone and if you’re busy stressing about meeting those deadlines you’re wasting what could be your only opportunity. Some students get to attend once before they graduate and others may get to attend twice, but either way don’t have the week pass you by and leave you with regrets. You may not be able to get to everything you want to do but have a diligent work schedule, get done with what you have to, and leave some time for play!
