This year’s HoF has been a lot of fun for the writing team, but there was also a lot of work for everyone involved; however, without those two special people, this year’s writing team would not have been the same. Astha Shrestha and Alexis Aho, our two editors for this year’s HoF, edited over 40 articles as of February 24th. Without them, our stories would not be the same; not only did they edit, but they also wrote. With Astha covering the Green Rooms and Alexis covering stories ranging from panels to student life, they prove to be irreplaceable for the team.

"They both put in hours of work that should not go unnoticed."

They both put in hours of work that should not go unnoticed. Astha, who wrote and edited articles in the library after her laptop broke, and Alexis, who also helped post articles sharing the webmasters’ workload put their team first and worked to make everyone's days easier.

So what inspired and motivated them to work so hard this year? “It was a great experience, reading the articles while editing made me feel like I attended much more than I actually did,” said Astha. Alexis added “Overall it was really challenging managing so many writers while trying to still enjoy the events that Hall of Fame had to offer. But, I’m really glad I took the job because I feel like I did good work and put out articles that I’m proud of, and still got to have a good time at the panels and various activities.”

The MCBS writing team thanks them for their hard work, long hours they put in, as well as the amount of positivity that they had, which kept the team motivated and hard at work. Editors can tear a story apart and our editors made sure that every article was improved, while also keeping the writer’s original ideas, style, and voice intact in the final product.
