After much anticipation and preparation, Hall of Fame at Full Sail has officially begun. While we are still waiting for the panels and educational events over the next few days, the campus hosted a major event, the Career Networking Event Monday. The Career Networking Event is one of the major highlights during Hall of Fame.
"This year the Expo hosted 47 recruiting companies from gaming studios and software companies to production houses and live broadcasters."
Every year Full Sail welcomes multiple recruiting companies to the campus giving students an immense opportunity to directly interact with those potential employers. This year the Expo hosted 47 recruiting companies from gaming studios and software companies to production houses and live broadcasters. Microsoft, Universal Orlando, Fox Sports Fl, USTA, IBM, Group One were just some of the companies in attendance.
The event had a huge turnover and students queued up for as long as hours to get into the Expo venue. The venue was so busy that even us, reporters were not allowed a direct entry to the event. Tink Abraham, one of the career advisors and industry outreach specialists, attended the event to help students find their respective and relevant positions among the multiple available ones. Abraham described this event as an opportunity for students and faculty to meet new people and more importantly to meet the companies they have always dreamed of working at.

The Expo venue was jam packed with students from all degree programs in all stages of their education at Full Sail. The venue was also packed with a mixture of emotions and energy. Excitement, preparedness, nervousness, all could be felt in the air, although the students leaving the venue looked more hopeful than anything. Raj Chandan, student of software development, walked out of the venue gleefully having distributed his resumès and information to multiple companies. He said,”we got opportunity to get experience about applying jobs and it made the process easier.”
When the 5 hour long event concluded, students were still rushing to make last minute connections, proving the value of this kind of opportunity. The number of possibilities and opportunities that this kind of event brings in is just one reason for the campus to host this kind of extravagant event. In the following days the campus will see a number of such events, and we will keep you posted, so make sure to follow us for hourly and daily updates!
