Whether it’s for a tour or for class, Hall of Fame is an event that you hear about the second you step foot on the Full Sail University campus. It’s an event that every student, professor, and staff member is excited for; and the yearly event that has the campus buzzing with energy and creativity.

Hall of Fame is an event that acts as a “homecoming” for Full Sail alumni and a once in a lifetime opportunity for Full Sail students. During Hall of Fame, alumni return to the school to give back and share what they’ve learned in the industry. It’s the only time of year where alumni are specifically available for interaction, interviews, and networking.

"But, beyond just meeting alumni, what is the importance of Hall of Fame? Why is it an attendance requirement for students to attend? Many students that have yet to attend a Hall of Fame may have these questions."

The work that goes into preparing Hall of Fame is no joke, and it is organized by students, faculty, and Platinum Creative; a creative team who have worked closely with Full Sail University for many years. This means that for the students, preparing for Hall of Fame requires gaining industry experience and working closely with a professional company. Students participating in the Hall of Fame planning will need to work on their design, marketing, event planning, and networking skills to create tangible results that will showcase all the events going on at Hall of Fame.

Speaking of events, there are so many different things to get involved in! I tried to count them and got up to 40- and that was only in one day! Of course, there are plenty of fun activities to get students meeting and networking with alumni like the Silent Disco or Bounce House fun but there are also tons of panels and informative events that can have a lot of valuable lessons to take away. Such as the “Life After Full Sail” panel with Media Communications course director Kathy Craven interviewing alumni about their career experiences after graduating. There are also panels such as the “Creative Entrepreneur” panel and the “Davinci Code of Wisdom” panel. But there’s more to do than just attending panels! There’s also the famous Technology Expo in which recent technology such as the popular Virtual Reality headsets have been showcased and even taken for a test run by students.

At Hall of Fame there are so many opportunities to get advice from an incredibly diverse group of industry professionals and go home for the day feeling like you’ve really learned something that you can apply to your life. That’s the point of Hall of Fame. You may have a lot of fun but you’ll also probably end up learning a lot of different things as well.
