The Guardians of Justice, winners of The 24-Hour Film Project.

Following the 24-Hour film project, came the actual viewing of the top 5 films. From there, they were critiqued by a group of judges who then awarded the groups based on their best achievements from Best Cinematography to Best Writing.

In the end, only one group could take home the award for Best Overall Film. This award went to The Guardians of Justice and their film “Perfektos”, which was also the winner of the Best Use of Prop or Line award. It featured a very large cast with over a dozen extras. In comparison most teams had about 10 people at the most, making management an essential task.

Directed by Matt Robin and Anthony Esposito, the short film featured a fight scene that the judges really enjoyed. The story consisted of two agents who were captured and had to fight each other to the death after being given a poisonous stimulant, the winner would get the antidote.

“As a student about to graduate I decided to cast freshman and sophomore students. I want people to know that giving a younger student a chance can pay off. One thing I learned from the military is knowing when to follow is more important than knowing when to lead. I have two sayings and it’s [to] be loyal and pay it forward, and thank everyone and apologize to no one.” Matt Robin said.
