Greetings and salutations, my good readers! ‘Tis I, your incomparable editor, covering Hall of Fame X. The weather is hot, but the conversation is cool. I even got to chat with some our prestigious alumni, who were nothing short of incredible when it came to dealing out advice from years of experience. I can only hope to return the favor someday.
The only thing I can say to that end, to those having a difficult month (or months), is: Don’t give up. You can handle anything that comes your way. It might be horrible, but you will absolutely get through it, and become better because of it.
To wit, I am actually graduating June 2019, and while my plans are up in the air for the time being, I would be remiss in not mentioning the life-altering lessons I have gathered during my 22 months at Full Sail. It has not been easy by any definition, and were I the same person I was before coming here, I would have certainly given up well before now. The only thing I can say to that end, to those having a difficult month (or months), is: Don’t give up. You can handle anything that comes your way. It might be horrible, but you will absolutely get through it, and become better because of it. That is the most important thing of all: to be better than you were before, even by just a small margin.
Things have gone quite smoothly so far this week, and we have this lovely website with all our content on display for you. As far as running the show this year (a rather significant leap from last year!), I am just happy to have such a cooperative and dedicated team. Of course, I am not actually running the show. None of this would happen without our faculty advisors, Kevin and Roxanne. The guidance and wisdom from these two cannot be understated.
Well, I suppose I have sufficiently sung my sincere praises all down the line, so there is nothing left to be said. Thanks, everyone! Good luck, have fun, and all that. In the words of the great J.R.R. Tolkien, “Farewell, wherever you fare, till your eyries receive you at the journey's end!”
